Trail Camera Fundraiser

Oakland Nature Preserve has had a Trail Camera Monitoring Program in place since 2016. Over the years, this has documented the presence of several families of bobcats, coyotes, birds of prey, water birds, songbirds, reptiles and otters that call the Preserve home. We are sorry to report that we recently have had a theft on the Preserve property, 4 trail cameras were stolen. Not only were these cameras important to the preserve for tracking the many animals that are on property but they also allowed us to share these amazing creatures with our online followers.

We have launched a fundraiser to help us restart this program. We plan to use funds raised to replace the cameras that were stolen, along with installing extra security measures to ensure this doesn’t happen again. Any extra funds will be used for other trail camera maintenance and expenses.

Please share and help us reach our goal of $1,500 to replace the stolen cameras, and restart our Trail Camera Monitoring Program! We are 2/3’s of the way there as of 2nd December 2018! Thank you!!
