Wiregrass Planting, Volunteers needed

Volunteers needed to help us with planting this Saturday, December 10th!

At Oakland Nature Preserve, we're trying to restore all 128 acres back to its original habitat. That's means pulling out the invasive plants, and planting natives in their place. And we can't do it alone!

This Saturday, December 10th, from 8am-12pm we will be having a major planting on the Red Trail! We need volunteers to help us plant 1,000 Wiregrass Plugs on about 5 acres of land.

Come be a part of this major step towards our accomplishing our restoration goals! By planting native seeds, we'll be restoring vital habitat for protected species like the gopher tortoise. Plantings only happen 1-2 times per year-- this is a special event!

RSVP to secure your place, or contact us for more details.
